Your pilot journey begins right here

All of the flying hours you achieve in the Introductory Set will be documented in your Pilot Logbook. These and the lessons you complete are then credited towards any future flight training if you choose to continue. So if you decide you want to continue your pilot journey and work towards a pilot license, you will be on your way!

The course is offered in 3 package options (Introductory Set Lite, Introductory Set Standard, and Introductory Set Plus) that will progress you towards the same flying lessons that you would find in the Private Pilot syllabus. At conclusion of the Introductory Set Plus, you will be ready to proceed towards your first solo flight!

Pre-flight Briefing | 30 minutes

Before climbing into the cockpit you will first spend half an hour in a classroom with one of our friendly instructors. Here you will cover the basics of aerodynamics, and what you can expect to see and feel once your flight commences. Once the briefing has concluded, you instructor will accompany you to the aircraft and take you through a pre-flight inspection.

The Flight | 1 hour

Now all the preliminaries are completed it is time to do what you came here to do… fly! On the TIF your instructor will use a method called Demo, Direct and Supervise, whereby they show you a particular task and talk you through it; once you’re comfortable, they’ll sit back and watch you accomplish it all by yourself.

During this exhilarating flight you’ll get hands on control of the aircraft and learn various aircrarft manoeuvres. All this occurs while safely under the supervision and control of your qualified instructor.

Post-Flight Debriefing | 20 minutes

Once you’re back safely on the ground and the aircraft is parked we will return to the classroom for a debriefing session. Here your instructor will honestly assess your competency and help you connect the theory with you learnt beforehand with what happened during the flight. This gives you an opportunity to ask you instructor any questions you have about the experience.

Now that your First Lesson has whet your appetite for flight, your instructor can outline the best way for you to take the next step in your training; whether that’s flying for fun, or to begin forging your new career in aviation.

We believe that once you have experienced the initial thrill of flying, like us, you too will be hooked!
